-
The Center, born thanks to funding from the LGH Foundation (A2A Group), has partnered up with REI-Reindustria Innovazione for the management of its activities.
Vision
The Center aims to respond to the needs of the agro-zootechnical and food ecosystem, ensuring strong interaction between the world of research and companies for the creation of development models for a sustainable and circular supply chain.
Particular attention is paid to the dairy supply chain, which represents an excellence of innovation in the Cremona area.
In this context, the Innovation Center intends to be a national and international point of reference for the training of skills and innovation of technologies essential to accompany the evolution of the system towards the new challenges of ecological and digital transition, maintaining ties with the important traditions of our agro-zootechnical food system.
ZAF Innovation Center will represent an incubator of solutions, and it will be the promoter of a strong synergy between research and business.
Mission
Thanks to the intense and fruitful collaboration between institutions, Universities, companies and civil society in its organizational articulations, the ZAF Innovation Center represents a concrete example of a “quadruple helix” system that the European Union is increasingly promoting as a model of territorial development.
The Mission is to create a model of aggregation for the sustainable development of the territorial agro-food chain to increase the capacity for research, innovation and technology transfer at a national level and in the field of international cooperation.
ZAF Innovation Center intends to contribute to the creation, in the heart of the Po Valley, of a symbiotic, dynamic and inclusive system between agro-zootechnics, agro-industry and universities, which will allow the establishment of innovation and technology transfer processes in response to climatic needs, the availability of food, food security, energy self-sufficiency and economic sustainability of the entire supply chain and will encourage capital investment and obtaining funding.
